So far in this novel, Achebe doesn't seems to be showing any bias for the culture being described. He has not made any remarks about any unfairness or distaste for the customs, yet he has not displayed any real passion for it either. He has done a fair job of describing multiple customs, however, which indicates to me that he at least has respect for the culture. The detail with which he describes these customs suggests that he has experience with them, but once again, he doesn't seem to be particularly for or against them.
To make this paragraph stronger, I would suggest using a quotation as a specific example to support your assertions.
